"DISCOVER YOUR ROOTS" WORKSHOP - Individual Appointments with Genealogist

Experience one of the fastest growing pastimes in the United States, genealogy.  This Genealogical Research Workshop provides the opportunity for you to discover your roots in the world's largest storehouse of family records, the Family History Library. A professional genealogical researcher will assist you on your journey of self-discovery.  Prior to coming to Salt Lake, you'll fill out and submit a pedigree chart and indicate which specific ancestral lines you'd like to explore.  Your aide will then start working on the path to your genealogy.  Upon arrival he/she will meet with you and you'll learn what has been discovered.  You will then be acquainted with how to use the library and you'll be allowed to continue this ancestral expedition on your own.  Your aide will be available for any assistance you may need but will not do the work for you ... that's part of the reward!  This unique program is one your grandchildren wouldn't want you to miss.
